The short version. You get a personal licence to use TempusBack. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and you cancel them in your Apple Account settings, not with us. Apple handles all billing and refunds. The app is an audit of your time, not medical, health or financial advice.
This agreement
These terms are between you and TempusBack (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, delete the app.
Because TempusBack is distributed through the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where these terms and Apple's standard EULA conflict, Apple's EULA wins. Apple is not a party to this agreement, has no obligation to provide support for the app, and any claim relating to the app is ours to answer, not Apple's. Apple and its subsidiaries are, however, third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use TempusBack on Apple devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source of the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
The app, its name, its design and its content remain ours. Your time data remains entirely yours: we claim no rights in it and, as set out in the Privacy Policy, never receive it.
Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock
TempusBack offers weekly, monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions, and a lifetime unlock sold as a single, non-renewing purchase. Exact prices are shown in the app before you buy and vary by storefront and currency.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Apple's rules allow one trial per subscription group per Apple Account.
- The lifetime unlock does not renew and is not billed again. It applies to the app as it exists and as it develops; it does not oblige us to publish the app forever.
- You can restore previous purchases on a new device with Restore Purchases in the app, using the same Apple Account.
- If we change a subscription price, Apple will ask for your consent before the new price is charged, as Apple's rules require. You may cancel instead.
All billing is handled by Apple. We never see or store your payment details (see the privacy policy).
Cancelling
Cancel any time from your device: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → TempusBack → Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
We cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf; Apple does not give developers that ability.
Refunds
Apple is the merchant of record and handles all refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → View Account → Purchase History. We have no ability to issue a refund ourselves, however much we might want to.
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, your statutory withdrawal and cancellation rights apply and are not affected by anything in these terms. Note that by downloading digital content immediately you may waive the 14-day withdrawal period, as the App Store terms explain.
Acceptable use
Use TempusBack for your own time, on your own device. Do not use it to monitor, audit or surveil another person without their knowledge and consent, and do not use it to break any law that applies to you. Do not attempt to interfere with the app's operation, circumvent purchase verification, or use it in any way that could damage or disable it for others.
What TempusBack is not
TempusBack is an audit of how your time was spent. It is not a medical device and not a source of medical, psychological, health, legal or financial advice. It reads sleep and activity data to understand the shape of your day, not to diagnose anything. If something in your sleep, your health or your wellbeing worries you, talk to a qualified professional rather than to a chart.
It is also not a blocker: it will not lock you out of anything. It is not a timesheet and produces nothing intended for invoicing or for proving hours to an employer or client.
The audit is built from signals your phone records, and those signals are imperfect. Times, places and categories are estimates, and the insights are suggestions. Decisions you take on the back of them remain yours.
Your data and your device
Your audit history lives on your iPhone and nowhere else. There is no account and no server-side copy, which means that if you lose the device, reset it, or delete the app, that history is gone and we cannot restore it. Keep encrypted iCloud device backups on if that matters to you. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.
Availability and changes
We improve the app continuously and may add, change or remove features. Some features depend on Apple's frameworks and hardware: AI-written insights require an Apple Intelligence capable iPhone, and features can be affected when Apple changes iOS. If a change removes something material from a subscription you are paying for, you may cancel as above.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page before they take effect, and the date at the top will change.
Warranties and liability
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected, including your rights under the EU Digital Content Directive.
Governing law
If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live apply to these terms, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away.
If something goes wrong, write to support@tempusback.com first. Most problems are solved faster that way.
